Hello. Welcome to the Lovedrug Press Corps.
Your question: What is the Lovedrug Press Corps - another band fan club? Our answer: The Lovedrug Press Corp is not a “fan club” at all. The phrase “fan club” conjures something wholly abhorrent to all of us and we will not use that moniker again. And neither should you. We’ve got something different in mind. Henceforth, let’s call this a society. The Lovedrug Press Corps is a fan society. A society not built on meaningless newsletters and a free keychain but rather an attempt to include those who enjoy our music and wish to be more involved in Lovedrug’s affairs. And, hell, maybe a keychain too. Here is what more involved means to us. First, we are providing a couple different opportunities for anyone who wants to contribute their own artistic talents to do so. Under both the photographers and artists sections, members are invited to contribute their own art. Examples: Photographers can gain recognition submitting good photos from our shows for the website (with full credit of course); Artists will be asked to submit drawings and paintings from time-to-time for various artwork needs, whether single and LP illustrations or even merchandise designs. Second, more involved means a chance to be on the inside of our promotional efforts. Under Street Team we are looking for a large number of driven and capable fans to help with the nuts and bolts of promoting Lovedrug’s music worldwide. More than just getting information from the band, Press Corps members have direct contact with our management team. Third, being involved means gaining some of the benefits of being on the team. Under Exclusives, members will find previews of what the band is working on, substantive newsletters that go beyond the regular Lovedrug mailings, updates from the band’s management, etc. There are also occasions to get exclusive merchandise, free items, restricted downloads, videos, and tickets that are not available anywhere else. Now in order to do this successfully, it is necessary that the Lovedrug Press Corps be somewhat of an exclusive affair. If you’d like to know more, you should first become a member of the Press Corps. Signing up will give you a username and password that is required to access the rest of this Press Corp site. From there, depending on what areas you choose to be involved with, we will have different strategies for keeping you informed and involved. If any of this sounds interesting to you, sign-up below. In any event, thanks for stopping in. We look forward to seeing you out there soon. Lovedrug Sign up Here |
