MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

December 18
In the wake of MP3.com's recent demise, Lovedrugmusic.com has moved its audio content to Soundclick.com. As visitors have no doubt noticed, the audio page accessible through this site now offers more songs (including Michael & Dave's infamous "snowmen song") and a more inviting demeanor. Also, for those interested in numbers, "Radiology" has reached #1 on Soundclick.com's Alternative/Avant Rock charts, "Down Towards The Healing" is #12 amongst the Progressive Rock selections, and the total visits to Lovedrugmusic.com has now topped 20,000. Thanks to everyone for the continued support.

Sorry folks about the lack of recent news updates. Here on the Lovedrug farm the animals have been wild at bay for so long that things were getting ready to errupt into musical barn yard madness so to speak(in a positive ion sort of way). Anyways, our plate has been plenty full with newly aquired friends and comrads coming to aid us in our quest. Basically, in a nut shell, we have been busy making things happen so that you all out there can soon enjoy the pleasures of Lovedrug on a much larger scale and our sounds will soon reach much farther to attack you where you live(this too in a postitive inclination). To those of you who inquire at every show about our full length... we now are reaching the time to where all will be revealed very soon. We praise you all for your patience.

Love is not but a string to be pulled, it is a rope to be climbed.

Hundreds of key college radio stations and music press outlets from around the nation are being serviced the Lovedrug Rock n' Roll EP this week. Aiding in the cause are, Indiego promotions from Denver, CO who have metaphorically drunk the cool-aid and joined Lovedrug's musical cult. Please call your local college radio station and request your favorite song from the Lovedrug Rock n' Roll EP. If they haven't received it yet drop us a line and let us know.

Returning home to the Lime Spider the bar was packed wall to wall. The set was shortened due to scheduling problems at the club, leaving the capacity-crowd wanting more. The band played a short set of songs, mostly taken from the Rock n' Roll EP as well as opening and closing the show with "Candy" and the melancholy epic "Pretend You're Alive," both from the band's yet-to-be-released full length album.

September 30
Lovedrug's first trip to New York City was to play the at the legendary Bitter End. The bar has been famous as a singer songwriter venue for about a hundred NYC generations. Bob Dylan got his start there and Billy Joel has actually been known to do impromptu appearances. Matt Putman literally hugged the stage when he found out that Jeff Buckley had performed there. Lovedrug didn't get to take the stage til an hour and a half after their scheduled start time but at 12:30 am the guys ripped into an all out 120 decibel 6 song set that literally drove some people in the front row out of their chairs. Lot's of music industry type people attended so maybe Adam Ladd can quit his day job soon.

September 29
The band finished the long weekend in Lancaster, PA playing with buddies Mewithoutyou. The New York Times called those guys the heirs to At the Drive Inn and judging from their stage show they might be right. The Chameleon club was packed and people were actually singing back songs from Lovedrug's Rock n' Roll EP (possibly being the first time that has happened outside of Ohio). Interstate commerce rules!

September 27
Lovedrug's new lineup with Matt Putman on drums met for the first time at 4pm to rehearse at the Lime Spider. It went well enough that they decided to play an impromptu set to the room full of people gathered for the evening show. The set was "a little loose" according to Dave Owen, guitarist "but I guess like 50 people bought our EP so somebody must have liked it."

August 30
Lovedrug will be going back out on the road September 26th through October 4th to play shows in PA, DE, NY and OH. This run will include the bands first ever New York City appearance at the Bitter End on September 30th and a couple of dates with Mewithoutyou (those guys kick ass). Check tour dates for details. If you are interested in booking the band email timothyeddings@aol.com. The guys still have a date or 2 left to fill. Hopefully we'll see many of you at the shows.

We need to squelch the rumors that David Grohl is auditioning for the Lovedrug drummer job. The band has had several very talented musicians from around the country try out for the job, but David has not been one of them. The fact that Lovedrug still travels in a 15-passenger van eliminated David from the potential list pretty early on. The band still remains fans of David's music and hope to become friends in the future.

August 16
In between torrential downpours, Matt Bentley played his last date with Lovedrug today. Matt promises to continue making music and to live happily ever after with his new bride-to-be Kate.

August 09
Lovedrug played the Midwest Music Conference at Radio with Cat Power and Richard Buckner. It was raining music industry people and yet that particular evening seemed to be about music. The band would like to thank the conference and their new Chicago friends for helping out so much. We hope you know who you are.
