Review from Buzzgrinder.com
Lovedrug made a stop in Wilkes Barre, PA and dang, I'm glad they did.
It was a warm night in Wilkes Barre PA, and Lovedrug cooled things off with their sweet, sweet sounds. Okay, cheesy-cliche's aside, Lovedrug put on a performance that came across as well as their album. Even with a so-so PA system, the band was able to get a great sound.
It was just so great hearing a band that you couldn't so easily peg. There was no emo-this, or post-that. This was just a great band able to change it up, from soft and warm to the rock, you were left smiling - or at least should have been. This wasn't just about rock, it was music.
Afterwards I spoke with Matt, their drummer. We chatted about all the good things in store for the band, his time with Living Sacrifice, and how him and one of the other guys from the other bands text message each other during their sets. Very funny stuff.
If you get a chance, even if you're not into their CD, check these guys out. They put on a great show.
