July 15 Bismarck & beyond.... Though the band is trying to keep the summer touring light, well, at least light for Lovedrug, they're still squeezing in some time for friends old and new. In addition to a handful of shows with Copeland, Lovedrug will make a number of headlining appearances this month and next, including their very first one for the good people of North Dakota. Peace Garden State here we come... July 11 Calling all Canadians If anyone is planning on going to Toronto's Edgefest on Sunday, July 16, know that we here at Lovedrug HQ have your back (and your wallet). The first 10 people to email us with a general Hello to info@lovedrugmusic.com will get free admission for you and a good, solid friend. What do you have to lose? Maybe 5 seconds of your life...... June 20 Don't Panic More shows with Panic At The Disco have just been added. Check the shows page for additions in Orlando, Myrtle Beach, and Norfolk, VA. June 17 Keeping Busy Aside from rehearsing new material (this fall?) Lovedrug will keep busy playing various shows during the summer months, including dates with friends Matchbook Romance, Panic At The Disco, and Copeland. See Tours page for details. June 15 Hometown Karaoke Marking the hometown club's 5th year anniversary, Lovedrug made a last minute appearance at The Lime Spider tonight. In an evening of surprises the band debuted new songs, a bass player, and even propositioned the audience for requests (leading to a rare performance of Skeleton Jill). June 1 Doomsday & The Shine Tonight marks the conclusion of Lovedrug's main support run with The Smoking Popes. As with the Switchfoot tour, the setlist throughout the tour included both old favorites and brand new material from studio work earlier this year. Highlights have been the bad ass resurrection of "The Narcoleptic", and new comers "Doomsday & The Echo" and "Pushing The Shine". Look for more and more new material coming soon...... May 19 Smoking With Popes Yesterday marked the kick-off of Lovedrug's national tour with The Smoking Popes, the recently reunited Chicago legends. April 10 Musings... Frequent visitors have likely recognized a slight metamorphosis at this site over the past week. Mostly notable, visit the revised Mediums page. The newly launched Musings section within will henceforth contain various thoughts, comments, and other potentially compromising material from the gentlemen Lovedrug. As these fine sirs have been in the studio for much of 2006, the posting covering the last few months concern themselves most agreeably with that oft-maligned topic. Enjoy. March 29 Nuef Base de Départ We're working up some changes to this website. They guys are in full-on writing/recording mode now, so look forward to some new blog-type reports coming to this portal soon. Longue vie a musique originale! March 27 Hard At Work Tucking themselves away once more within studio confines, Lovedrug has returned to the studio for continued recording over the rest of this month and next. Producer phenom Tim Patalan is again at the helm. March 15 Switchfoot Lovedrug's next tour will be with Switchfoot. The band will be sole support on an international run which will include virgin territory for Lovedrug in the midwest and west. Beware residents of South Dakota, Idaho, and British Columbia....we're coming for you. March 04 Basking In the Everglow Thanks again to Mae for a great tour and for all the attendees who made it such a joy. February 14 FrontSpace Lovedrug will grace the front page of MySpace this week as one of the featured bands, along with The Arctic Monkeys and The Takeover UK. February 02 New year, new tour, new....fashions? After a much needed rest, and even a bit of studio exploration, Lovedrug will hit the touring trail again next week. January 19 "Band of the Day" Lovedrug will be featured featured as Spin.com's "Band of the Day" tomorrow (Friday). Check it out... | |||||
